How many times have you tried a program, diet, or supplement thinking it would be a shortcut to losing weight or getting fit?
Tens of millions of people do it every year and the fitness industry is chock full of marketers just looking to make an easy buck off of your insecurities and emotional pain points.
I hate that about this industry; an industry I love and am committed to making a better place.
Getting lean, strong, and fit isn't going to happen overnight, especially if you've spent the last 20+ years sitting on your ass, eating the typical American diet, and rarely exercising.
Yes, it takes time, hard work, commitment, and a set of healthy habits, but this is your life we're talking about.
You only get one shot and if you're spending it being anything less than your best, you're doing yourself and your family a HUGE disservice.
So fucking fix it..
It's not that hard, I promise you. I recently turned 50 and keep myself pretty fit. And I don't live in the gym, plan my days around my meals, or follow an ultra restrictive approach to eating.
I'm a business owner, father of two daughters, and regular dude. I just follow the basics of good health and wellness, take pride in my body and fitness level, and stay incredibly consistent with it.
I'll be honest, the "basics" of fitness aren't sexy. It's actually pretty boring to talk about and if I told you I had a way for you to drop 20 pounds off your belly in 30 days, you'd probably be more inclined to buy this program.
But that's bullshit and there isn't a program on Earth that will give you those results (while keeping you healthy).
We've been conditioned to think that fast results are not only possible, but easy to get. Just plunk down $29.99 for this amazing "hack" and off you go.
Um...no.
You want to look damn sexy for your wife?
You want to stop being the fat ass at the pool?
You want to get back into the shape you were in college?
You want to be a better role model for your kids?
You want to be strong, lean and jacked?
Work for it. There is no other way!
All of these things are possible and at any age, they really are. You just need to figure out why you want to do it, commit to it, and then bust your ass getting after it.
If your heart has starting beating faster in your chest as you read this and you've felt a slight spark of fire deep inside, that's a good thing.
Very good.
That means you have hope. Too many middle aged dads have given up and accepted their lives as they are. No drive. No passion. No real interest in anything that they don't already have.
But that's not you..
